| **Nappies will need to be washed a few times prior to use, Bamboo takes a few washes to reach its maximum absorbency.**
• Rinse soiled nappy and dry pail – no need for soaking • Nappies are fine in both front and top loader machines • Only use a small amount of washing powder/liquid • Nappies may be tumble dried occasionally but only on warm as the hot setting can shorten the life span of the nappies. • Line drying is preferable and the suns UV rays will help eliminate stains and sanitize the nappies
| |
If the nappies start to smell they may need either
-A little more washing liquid/powder and/or a longer wash cycle
Or
- A build up of washing detergents can cause the nappies to have an odour and can affect the nappies absorbency. To fix this the nappies will need a strip wash.
| |
To strip wash the nappies, use 1/4 cup of dishwashing detergent and use a full hot wash cycle. Then continue to wash until no more suds appear.
Also ensure the nappies are fully dry before using again, because bamboo is so absorbent, it does have an increased drying time.
